The Diocese of Warangal, which consists of six zonals, has taken a beautiful initiative to celebrate a Year of Jubilee in each zonal area. This Jubilee is not just an event, but a time of coming together as one family with different groups of people—widows, orphans, those affected by HIV, and persons with mental and physical disabilities. It is a true expression of the Church’s compassion and solidarity.
As part of this journey, the Ookal Zonal recently organized a Day of Jubilee with widows of their community on 27th of August 2025. All the widows of the zonal were invited, and it was deeply moving to witness 110 widows gathering together for prayer, fellowship, and celebration.
On this occasion, the Administrator of the Warangal Diocese along with the CRI President, Rev. Fr. S. Balaraju SCJ, were present to encourage and motivate the widows. They reminded them that, despite life’s difficulties and struggles, it is important never to lose hope in God, who is always close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Their words gave great strength and consolation to many who attended.
The program was not just a celebration, but also a moment of healing, renewal, and empowerment—showing that the Church truly walks with her children, especially those who are most vulnerable.
